Order LM–48219 Thursday 19 March 2026, 10:00–14:00
|
|
Clara,
It was signed out at half past seven by Ellen Ward, who made it, and collected an hour later by Bishop & Grey. The crate is walnut from the same boards as the carcass. Two handlers will bring it into the flat, set it where you want it, and level the feet. They are booked until it is right, not until the van is empty.
You asked for Thursday 19 March, between 10:00 and 14:00. That window is held. They will telephone from the Embankment about half an hour out. If the day has become impossible, change it before noon on Wednesday. After that the crate is loaded, and a second visit is a new arrangement.

Where it is going

The handlers have this, and a line we added: black iron gate, left of the main steps, bell marked Voss. If any of that is wrong, tell us before Wednesday.

Dispatch and arrival
|
How it travels
Bishop & Grey, on a white-glove desk rather than a pallet network. One crate, 28 kilograms, marked LM–48219 on two faces. They have the number you gave us, and they will not ask you to take an end. We collect the empty crate on Tuesday 24 March, in the morning. Nothing to book.
|
When it arrives
Keep it off the radiator, and out of the sun on the garden side, for a week. The brass is bare. It will dull, then settle. A cloth is in the left drawer; wax once before winter is enough, and more than that smears. If a drawer swells, it is the room. Do not force it. Write to us, and Ellen Ward will see it herself.
|
|
Before Wednesday at noon
After that the crate is loaded, and moving the window means a second visit.

This letter is a record of your order and its dispatch. We send it because you bought the table, not because you joined a list. You will hear from us again about this order only if the delivery changes, or if you write.
Notes from the workshop, a few times a year, are separate from orders. You may unsubscribe from those whenever you wish. Unsubscribing does not stop letters about an order that is still open.
