Precision sleep instruments

Quiet is a designed state.

The Vesper is a bedside instrument that shapes the light and sound of a room from dusk until dawn—engineered for those who treat rest as a discipline.

A note on rest

We do not sell sleep scores, subscription vapours, or foam cut into rectangles. We make instruments for the hours when the mind should empty and the room should hold you.

The room is half the mattress. — Halcyon studio notes, 2021

The Vesper

One object. An entire night, composed.

Place it bedside. Dim the house. Over nine programmed hours the Vesper draws a continuous arc of amber light and low-frequency sound—tightening the room at dusk, holding deep night, and dissolving into a cool, near-silent dawn.

  • LightFull-spectrum LED array with brass diffuser. 1800K to 4800K, never white-blue after twenty-one hundred.
  • SoundDual exciters drive the aluminium shell. No upward-facing speaker. The room becomes the cone.
  • ControlA single machined dial. Clockwise lengthens the arc. Press once for moisture-pause. No app required.

Four movements. One unbroken night.

Unlike a playlist or a timer, the Vesper does not jump between presets. Parameters drift continuously. What you perceive is atmosphere, not events.

I

Descent

Warm 1800K spill drifts down three stops over forty minutes. A sub-audible hum settles the high frequencies of the room.

21:00 — 22:00
II

Hold

Light retires to a fiducial ember. Sound flattens into brown-pink texture, calibrated below conversational level.

22:00 — 03:30
III

Keel

The coldest, quietest span. Residual glow only—enough to navigate without opening the circadian gate.

03:30 — 05:45
IV

Approach

Spectrum climbs toward 4200K as sound thins to near silence. A civil dawn inside the bedroom walls.

05:45 — 07:00
